Spectroscopy: Frequency-domain Terahertz generation system

equipment

2 Fusionopolis Way, Innovis, #08-03 Singapore 138634

What is it?
A terahertz system relies on simple continuous-wave (CW) lasers. It uses the swept and delayed laser signal in a self-heterodyning scheme for phase-sensitive detection. Based on this method, the amplitude and phase of the terahertz signal can be recovered with software-based lock-in detection.

Manufacturer: TOPICA PHOTONICS

Model Name: TERASCAN 1550

Applications: 1. Plastic Inspection 2. Material Research

Instrument Overview: TOPTICA’s TeraScan platforms are well-established “TopSeller” configurations for frequency-domain terahertz spectroscopy. The systems combine mature DFB diode lasers with state-of-the-art GaAs or InGaAs photomixers. The TeraScan 1550 sets new benchmarks in terms of terahertz power and dynamic range.
